New interview! YASH3LF asks all the fun questions about REVERIE, drag, and beyond
Hello! I have a new interview up for YASH3LF! We talked all about how REVERIE got its title, and dug into the logic behind the stories magic, the characters, and the infamous villain herself. I’m always excited to talk about this lil’ book, but I was especially excited to discuss details about Kane, REVERIE’s gloomy, dreamy hero. I also got to dig into my fixation on drag as a reality bending magic, which is obviously pretty central to one particular character that spends a whole lot of this book making things super hard for everyone else.

Interview: How I got my agent via Twitter
Anyone that’s been following my writing journey probably knows two undeniable truths about my so-far-success:

Plotting new things in 2017
For a while I avoided considering writing another book because it seemed like an act of defeat. It felt this way because my first book was this big, messy thing that lived in pieces upon my desktop, and I hadn’t really sent it around to agents, and it wasn’t published. For that reason alone, the idea of starting a new book felt like giving up on the old one.
