Reverie is my first book, and my only book, and now it’s published. It’s out there, and the thing that sustained me for so long has become something I hope others find refuge in. Or at least entertainment. Certainly bad puns.

That’s RIGHT! I’m not sure exactly when, or even exactly how, but someday soon you will not only be able to READ my words. You will be able to HEAR them, too.

New interview! YASH3LF asks all the fun questions about REVERIE, drag, and beyond
Hello! I have a new interview up for YASH3LF! We talked all about how REVERIE got its title, and dug into the logic behind the stories magic, the characters, and the infamous villain herself. I’m always excited to talk about this lil’ book, but I was especially excited to discuss details about Kane, REVERIE’s gloomy, dreamy hero. I also got to dig into my fixation on drag as a reality bending magic, which is obviously pretty central to one particular character that spends a whole lot of this book making things super hard for everyone else.

Today I have the honor of being featured as a Success Story! You can read the full interview on the Writing Barn site:

I turned in my revisions early!
Right now I am writing to you with Elvis all around me. And I do mean *all* around me. There is Elvis music playing in every room. There are photos of Elvis on every wall. The soaps in the bathroom are all Elvis themed. And just out of sight is a PB+J bar that the other hotel guests talk about with unflinching reference.
Interview: The Sewers of Paris

Last week, right before I left for my book research trip to CT, I set up a little recording studio for myself in my office (thank you OHO for the microphone!) and had a great conversation with Matt Baume, the mastermind behind The Sewers of Paris podcast.
Summer Revisions for REVERIE
I’ll be honest, it’s super cool to be posting about revisions for REVERIE. I’ve spent years watching writers online lament their revisions, conspicuously mourning their success, gif’ing their way through the trials and tribulations of circling a deadline. The usual stricken glitter of writers on the internet.
