From Publisher's Weekly:

Jody Corbett at Scholastic has bought, in an exclusive submission, North American rights to two YA titles by The Honeys author Ryan La Sala. The first one, titled The Dead of Summer, is about a teen fighting to survive a deadly summer in a queer resort town off the coast of Maine after it is put into lockdown to contain a mysterious, supernatural plague rising from the sea. Publication is planned for fall 2025; Pete Knapp at Park, Fine, & Brower Literary Management brokered the deal.
